Save Hornsey and Wood Green Police Stations

Hornsey Police Station

The London Mayor's proposals to close the police front counters at Hornsey Police Station and the Fishmonger's Arms on Wood Green High Road, as well as axe the police contact point at Planet Organic in Muswell Hill is totally unacceptable.

Funding for local police services has been cut by both the Government and the Mayor, while people are being put at risk. Hate crime is on the rise since Brexit, and the number of moped-related incidents in Haringey is at unprecedented levels.

These locations - all at threat of closure, promote visible community policing and makes reporting crime easier. Closing the counters would be additional strain on the Tottenham Police Station front counter, and leave this as the only police counter in the whole borough/

We the undersigned call on: London Mayor Sadiq Khan and the Government to reverse his proposals and keep the police contact points in Haringey open and fund the services properly.
