Liberal Democrats in Haringey have launched a survey, asking residents their views on changes to council-run tennis courts.
The council is entering a contract with a private company, who will run sessions (for a fee) at peak times. This takes the courts out of public use at the times most people want to use them, and we are concerned it could be the tip of the iceberg - the council could easily hand over more and more time slots to the company.
Haringey Lib Dems believe that access to council courts should remain free for everyone, much like access to parks and playgrounds, and that these changes will disproportionately affect the poorest in our borough, who are already more likely to have limited outdoor and play space of their own.
If you want to let us know your views, the survey is available to complete here.
